This is our second Forest View event of the month! Forest View Elementary School is looking for volunteers to help them assemble new picnic tables to create more outdoor learning space. If building isn’t for you, they also would like help reorganizing classroom spaces. This will mostly be an outdoor event, for the indoor portion we will be limiting the number of volunteers. This weekend we’ll be back at Glenn Elementary working to accomplish a variety of projects! We will be organizing a space to serve as a food pantry/clothing storage/ book room for students and teachers. We may also work in the library to move and sort books. If interested, sign up below

Over the past year, their gym has become the storage place for extra classroom furniture, making it a difficult space to use. They’re asking for our help to move tables and chairs to another storage space in order to free up the gym for class! If you’re interested in helping, sign up below.

Eno Valley elementary school is looking for volunteers to help brighten up their courtyard! The school is utilizing this space as an outdoor classroom and are looking for volunteers to help with some painting. Specifically, we will painting picnic tables for the students to use and also adding school colors to the area. If you’re interested in painting outside at Eno Valley, sign up below!

Merrick-Moore Elementary is looking for help revitalizing their learning garden. They are looking to accomplish some weeding, mulching, planting, and repainting. Sign up below to help prepare this outdoor learning space for all of the budding gardeners at Merrick-Moore!

Eno Valley is looking for volunteers to help prepare for the coming school year! This weekend, we will be helping teachers prepare their classrooms. Activities will include moving classroom furniture, setting up classrooms, preparing learning activities, and cleaning. They have a list of outdoor projects that need to be completed including: Painting outdoor seating areas, collecting loose limbs around the school, raking loose leaves around the school, revitalizing flower beds. If you’re looking for an excuse to enjoy some spring weather while also giving back, sign up below!

Forest View Elementary needs some help!! Teachers at this school need a handful of volunteers in a large organizational project. They are looking to sort, organize, and label a large amount of instructional material and office supplies. If you’re interested in unleashing your inner Marie Kondo, sign up here!

Fayetteville Street Elementary School is hoping to brighten up its hallways with a fresh coat of paint. They are looking for volunteers to come in and help paint the hallways and main entry space. This is Bull City Classrooms’ first event at Fayetteville Street Elementary, so make sure to sign up and show this school how much we love our DPS teachers and students!!

Before students return to Lakewood Elementary and before the start of the fourth quarter, teachers are looking for help assembling packets of school supplies. We’re looking for a small number of volunteers to help assemble these materials to be distributed later in the month!

This event will be slightly different than a regular BCC event to accommodate the quick turnaround time needed by the schools. We will be hosting this event on Thursday March 11th. To accommodate busy weekday schedules, we are implementing a flexible start time. Someone will be at Lakewood to direct volunteers between 4:00 and 7:00, but you don’t have to be there the whole time. Sign up for a window that fits your schedule!

Masks will be required, and we’ll be spread out in the media center.
